Truro RFC Under 16

Welcome to the Truro RFC Under 16s page. The squad has a successful pedigree, having won every County Cup since we moved to the XV man game.  However, the ethos is not just about winning, as it is also important that every player enjoys the game and realises his potential.

As a youth club we foster respect, self-discipline and self-esteem. Many of the players attend Penair, but others are drawn from Truro, Richard Lander, Roseland, Falmouth and Pool Schools.  

We have a very ambitious fixture list, seeking to play as many Cornish sides as we can along with challenging teams from Devon such as the two County finalists, Ivybridge and Devonport Services; we also enjoy playing top schools such as Millfield and Bryanston. We believe you must play against the best to measure and improve your own performance.

As a squad we have a number of targets, such as individual and team performance improvement - which we consider against our achievements in the County and elsewhere. Also, we target the continuing maturity and development of the young men. Last year, 9 lads went on to play for Cornwall Schools u/15s, with 2 representing Exeter Chiefs Academy also.
